What services does ADHD Assessment Ireland provide?

This is an ADHD diagnostic service that offers a comprehensive evaluation process designed to determine whether an individual meets the criteria for ADHD. This service involves a multidisciplinary approach to gather and analyse information from various sources, ensuring an accurate diagnosis and the development of an effective treatment plan. We offer assessment to children, adolescents and adults.

 

What are the hours of operation?

Our hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

 

What should I expect during my first consultation?

An initial screening call for ADHD assessment typically involves a brief conversation between the parent/young person or adult (depending on the follow up assessment) and the healthcare professional to gather preliminary information.

 

Can I reschedule or cancel an appointment?

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel an appointment with at least 24 hours' notice. 

 

How do I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment by using our online booking system on the services page. 

 

Do you offer online assessments?

Yes, we offer both in-person and online assessments to accommodate your needs.

Are your services confidential?

Yes, all sessions and communications are strictly confidential, adhering to professional ethical standards.

 

What happens after the assessment is complete?

If a diagnosis of adhd is comfirmed, treatment options will be discussed and shared with you. The treatment plan may include organisational strategies, behaviour plan, lifestyle changes, and medication.

 

Do you prescribe medication?

We do not prescribe medication. Medication may be recommended as part of your treatment plan. This recommendation can be accepted by your local Adult Mental Health Team/ CAMHS/ GP. This will depend on your local service. 

 

What happens if I am not diagnosed with adhd?

Guidance will be given on the possible reasons for you/ your child's behaviour and a discussion will take place about the possible next steps. 

 

Do you provide letters to support accessing Disability Allowance?

Yes, we can provide letters of support to access Disability Allowance in Ireland. There is an additional fee for this service.
